Like for most of us, spending so much time at home has made me lose my sense of time a bit. So this year has been a constant stream of music in different, somewhat blurry and random phases.
On the plus side, it has allowed me to spend more time with my family and practicing my non-existent guitar skills with our daughter and songs like “Don’t Look Back In Anger” and “Don’t Think Twice”. And to broaden my musical horizon by listening to even more songs from other eras and places - my (historic) album of the year find is Caetano Veloso’s “Transa”, recorded when he was exiled in London in the 70s.
Then there are some great artists I have the privilege to work with now, like Kaada, Ólafur Arnalds and Lambert.
Stormzy just had to be on here, as it was the last show (and a great one at that) I was able to attend before gigs stopped existing - back in February, which now seems like another decade.
